The Aspen Lane Wine Company offers corporate sponsors associated with our partner charities the opportunity to make their own barrel of wine with hands-on experience at different stages of the winemaking process.  Three levels of participation are offered, and in each program, The Aspen Lane Wine Company will help each corporate sponsor create a superb wine made to the specifications of the group involved; a first class, personalized vintage to enjoy for many years to come!

Each sponsor can choose from one of the following three programs that best meets their needs:

  • The “Lucille Ball” Full Barrel Program*

A “soup to nuts” corporate team building event that allows up to 20 guests the opportunity to visit the winery 4 times in a vintage year to participate in the “down and dirty” of what it takes to make a solid bottle of red wine.  Starting with the “crush”, the team will assist winemaker Bob Evanosky in converting the berries into a “must” ready for ferment.  Approximately 2 weeks later, the team will return to press the fermented “must” into wine and prepare it for barrel aging.  Three months later, the team will return to rack the wine off the lees, clean the barrel and return the wine back to the barrel.  The final stage of the process will allow the team to bottle its wine.  The team will also have the opportunity to work with the ALWC’s graphic design team to develop a custom label for its 295 bottles of red wine the group will ultimately acquire at the end of the wine program.  There will be food and wine tasting available at no additional charge for each of the four visits.

Timing: Begins August/September

Number Available:  2 per vintage year

  • The “DisAbility” Full Barrel Program*

A corporate team building event that allows up to 20 guests the opportunity to visit the winery 2 times in a vintage year to participate in the “down and dirty” of what it takes to make a solid bottle of red wine.  Starting with the “crush”, the team will assist winemaker Bob Evanosky in converting the berries into a “must” ready for ferment.  The second stage of the process will allow the team to bottle the wine they have created.  The team will also have the opportunity to work with the ALWC’s graphic design team to develop a custom label for its 295 bottles of red wine produced at the end of the wine program. There will be food and wine tasting available at no charge for each of the two visits.

Timing: Begins August/September

Number Available:  4 per vintage year

  • The “You Never Give Up, Up To and Including the Point at Which You Hit the Hill” Half Barrel Membership*

A corporate team building event that allows up to 20 guests the opportunity to visit the winery once in a vintage year to participate in the “down and dirty” of what it takes to make a solid bottle of red wine.  The team will participate in the final stage of the winemaking process and bottle its own wine.  The team will also have the opportunity to work with the ALWC’s graphic design team to develop a custom label for its 147 bottles of red wine.  There will be food and wine tasting available at no charge during the bottling process.

Timing: Begins August/September

Number Available:  10 per vintage year

Note that donors will pay the partner charity directly for the purchase of these programs.  The partner charity is responsible for paying all catering costs and wine expense, which will be determined in advance.

*Number available reflects all slots available and not the slots available for each charity partner.  All critical winemaking process decisions (crush/press/racking/bottling) will be determined by winemaker Bob Evanosky. Because timing is crucial to making an excellent product, timing of crush and bottling will be made according to the progress of the wine and not to each member’s schedule. The priority of the program is to make outstanding custom wines and secondarily providing practical winemaking experiences.
